“Everyone has a plan until they get punched it the mouth”
-Mike Tyson
I assume that each and every day will begin with a punch to the mouth. I have a well thought out plan of attack for every day, every session, workout and task. However, being mentally prepared for the unknown, gives me a calm sense that, no matter what happens, I can and will deal with it.
Many times we become frustrated when things don’t go as planned, and that is understandable. However, most of the time, the factors that caused this plan to go array, are completely out of our control. So why spend all of your energy being pissed off about something you had no control over? Take a deep breath, and create action to resolution.
A well thought out plan is critical for success. After all, it is said that “failing to plan is planning to fail”, which I agree with. That is why, I always have a plan for everything, but actually I get really excited about creating solutions out of unplanned circumstances.
Think of your next, “punch to the face”, as an exciting opportunity to flash your unbreakable spirit, and amazingly adaptable creativity. It’s the best part of the day. You got this!
