I know, on the outside, it looks and sounds cruel. My kids will be out running, playing, etc and will ultimately fall. Bruised, battered and in tears,“Get UP!” I’ll yell. Each and every time. And guess what? They get up. We all have those cheerleaders - someone in our corner that is telling you, “Come on, you can do it. I believe in you. You’re the best.” And some of us don’t. So what…get up! It is my intention/goal that no matter how many times my kids get knocked on their ass, they will always have the same response. Get up. Get up before the pain sets in. Get up and move on. Get up. Looking up at your problems gives you the wrong perspective. It puts them above you and makes your problems look bigger than they are - bigger than you. Get up. Look them in the eye…on your level. Defeat them. But first get up. Put it in your head and get up. |
