Winning hurts.
We still seem to think that everything we want will not take old school hard work, sacrifice, a little pain, a few tears, and stepping outside of our comfort zone.
Don’t lie anymore. You’ve said it…I hear it all day long every day. “When my schedule clears up”, “when the stars align”, “this is just a bad time”, “things are just so crazy right now”, “when I win the lottery”. My favorites are the easy/trick route like “do you have any tricks for heathy eating during the holidays?”
The truth is that there are no tricks. This is a good thing. How proud of yourself were you that day that you lost 5 pounds because you were too sick to eat? Or when your team won the big game, because the other team didn’t have enough players and had to forfeit? That’s not victory.
I know this for sure: If you really want something, you are going to get knocked on your ass. Get up. It’s not going to work the first time. Keep going. You are going to have to let go of something that you think you “need”. Never sacrifice what you want right now for what you really want out of life. It is going to hurt. You are going to want to quit. Be relentless. People will tell you that you are crazy. It’s not their dream, it’s yours. They may laugh at you. FTS!
Become that story of success and victory through noting more than grit and determination. I’ve been there. It’s a euphoric feeling that keeps building on itself. It ain’t easy, but it is worth every ounce of effort.
You know that I am here for you. Let’s do this.
