I am waiting in line for coffee and the barista makes a quick turn and spills about 16 ounces of soy milk and coffee all over the floor. What does she do? She turns around and remakes the drink. Another employee calls for a mop, and someone comes to mop up the mess. End of story.
Being unbreakable does not mean you do not make mistakes. Being unbreakable, means that you are relentless and never stop moving towards your goals. Raising 3 small children, I am no stranger to actual crying over spilled milk. However, this is not limited to children. I see it all the time.
How many times have you found yourself wallowing in self-pity, because you ate something that you know you shouldn’t have? Feel bad because you didn’t make it to the gym this week? The most appropriate response is to prepare some healthy meals and do some pushups.
Be relentless, move forward, and make progress. End of story.
